Ph.D. Assistantship available for 2020–FILLED

A qualified and motivated candidate is sought to develop a PhD study on the topic of fisheries modeling in relation to habitat and hydrology with a focus on climate change in the Brazilian Amazon.  This is part of a large, interdisciplinary project, called “Sustaining Amazon floodplain biodiversity and fisheries under climate change”, which involves five countries (Brazil, France, UK, Canada, US) and is sponsored by BNP Paribas.  The four-year funding package will be 63% GRA and 37% GTA, plus field and travel funds.

Applicants must have: (i) a M.S. in ecology, fisheries, or related field; (ii) record of involvement in research; and (iii) prior experience in the peer-reviewed publication process.  Quantitative skills is a plus.  The selected candidate will have full tuition, stipend, and subsidized health insurance.  Anticipated start is Spring, Summer, or Fall 2020.
